Every strand travels through four carefully controlled stages before it earns the Prayash Yarns name.
Batching
Raw jute filaments are loaded onto a porous conveyor and sprayed with a measured mix of oil, water and emulsifier, then piled to soften the fibres before yarn manufacturing.
Carding
The softened, six-foot-long fibres pass through breaker cards that shorten, finely divide, clean and lay them in neat, parallel order.
Drawing
Draw frames pull the sliver down to size through rollers — straightening and combing the fibre so it spins into a strong, level thread.
Spinning
After three draw frames the sliver becomes rove, and the spinning frame finally converts it into fine, superior-quality jute yarn.
